MOTEL RAPHAËL
Motel Raphaël is a young indie-folk-pop band from Montreal, led by Clara Legault, Emily Skahan and Maya Malkin. Since their inception in 2012, they have risen through the ranks of Montreal’s burgeoning indie scene at an astronomical pace.
Robbie O’Brien has been recording and touring with Motel Raphaël since March of 2015. Robbie’s bass playing is also featured on their second album.
SHAWN PHILLIPS
Shawn Phillips is an American folk-rock musician, primarily influential in the 1960s and 1970s. Phillips has recorded twenty albums and worked with musicians including Donovan, Paul Buckmaster, J. Peter Robinson, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Bernie Taupin, and many others
Robbie O’Brien was asked by Shawn Phillips in June 2009 to play bass alongside of him for several gigs
IVETTE MEOW
Ivette Meow is a singer/songwriter born in Malaysia, raised in Vancouver. Now lives in Byron Bay, Australia, playing shows and writing songs. Since her first Album ‘Girl With A Squirrel’, Ivette has written 3 more albums, with upcoming plans to record them.
Robbie O’Brien was asked by Ivette Meow to record her first album. He wrote and played the bass tracks on the recording.
